How to force ObjectZip to register?

Tuesday, October 7, 2003 by Aschell | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

I installed ObjectZip on my WinXP system, the default icon changed, but zip files are still associated with compressed folders. I know that there is some way to force OZ to register, but that was on a readme file from long long ago (run ozadd or ozcmd with a flag or something like that) Anyone fill me in? I used to use OZ a lot, but since my last xp reinstall, I haven't installed it till today. Now I installed it, but can't use it

Right click on zip folder and click on 'open with'. Point to Object Zip.

There is no objectzip.exe to point at. I've tried pointing to ozadd.exe and ozcmd.exe but it doesn't work. I also pointed it to objectzip.dll

OK...go to Start Menu/Programs/Object Desktop. Click on 'ObjectZip Create Archive'. On the prompt to make ODZip your default Zip App. click yes.
