The marathon thread is self contained. Instead of starting 20 billion threads about stupid topics, we keep to one. Also, if you will note, that thread has been around for a *very* long time. It existed when there weren't many people on the site. The person who started it hasn't even shown her face in over 6 months.
If you want one stupid thread, have one stupid thread that people post to. Just don't keep posting stupid threads (especially if people react adversely to it). The marathon thread also is kept alive by *friends* chatting with each other. Obviously, that same scenario is hard to replicate.
And, I keep wondering Kona, why do you keep speaking of yourself in third person? And, what do you have about Tech Cat? You keep bringing that up over and over again.

If you want respect, then you have to earn it. Telling people to "get a life" and "grow up" isn't going to get you the "respect" you want. It will do just the opposite.

Yeah, I guess that was a bit obscure, but if you follow the Kona threads, you'll know what I am referring to.

First, Jesse, I know you as a good friend. If this thread made you upset, I am sorry.
I think it is time you all know I suffer from this little thing called "I am always right" and so yes my posts and threads reflect that. I have toned down ALOT so give me credit.
Yes, TC got off to a bad start. So did I.
Yes, TC reformed himself and made himself a better person. He deserves his promotion. I also reformed myself.
So in closing, I guess I just rub people the wrong way. Saying I am sorry and graveling will not help, I have tried that. So I don't know what to do. Anyways, This thread can get locked now. Thanks.

Kona....I see my thread in your list.....but note the irony of its title....and also its content is a long-standing joke on any skinning site you care to mention.....one of the most commonly asked/started threads.
Also, it was started at a time in Wincustomize's MB history when board activity was 'slow', as a way to induce/promote more intercourse....
