Site issues

Stardock is in the midst of moving WinCustomize to new servers in a new location which has higher bandwidth piped into it. (Yes, WC is getting more powerful servers *and* more bandwidth). This will cause some disruptions. Please contain the issues that you see to this one thread so that we can address them as they happen. Please be patient during this time as this is not a simple task.

It's tomorrow. With Mozilla I was able to download wallpaper, but not anything else. Still getting "source file cannot be read" errors. IE is still just hanging pages.

I had a little bit of a problem with my wb not loading last week...had to reinstall from disk...and a couple of days ago I had the problem as described above...couldn't access libraries..got the source file problem.. but last 2 days everything fine....could it be just heavy traffic on the site? I know it must get alot cuz it's awesome!!!

It's been five days. I've been trying almost every hour to download and still nothing. Can't even get wallpaper anymore. Things are looking grim. I'll try again tomorrow and after that I have no idea. Anyone have any ideas? I wanted to play around with DX2, get some objects. Needless to say I'm feeling tinsy bit blue about the whole thing

I have no problems downloading anything. Maybe the problem is at your end?

I can download from other sites like DeviantArt and Skinbase just not here. I've been getting 'cannot read source file' errors for five days. A few days ago I was able to get wallpaper. Now nothing. I'm fairly sure I'm good at this end.

I STILL cannot get the "libraries.zip" to open up in Skins and Themes in both Wicustomize browser and Stardock Central Browser.
The bottom 4 - "Top Downloads", "Newest Additions", "Updated Skins", and "Featured Skins" are working; just not "Recent Skins" and "Libraries".
I have deleted both browsers, cleared all cookies, downloaded both browsers, updated both browsers, tried various "refresh libraries" and still nothing.
I have posted this in Stardock chat and all I hear there is: "I'm not having a problem.", "It works for me."
So please, if no one can answer this post, please don't tell me what I have already heard.

The only thing working is the message board. Everything else , libs., my account, nothing. Is this a ' things have to get worse before they get better' problems?

As I have said before, everything works fine for me. You guys might be having connection problems and if so might want to talk to your ISP.

I personally have two ISPs. Just in case one happens to be giving me grief. Though I rarely have to fall back on this because my main ISP works amazingly well. I would not call myself 'the sharpest tool in the shed', but I have to think that when two ISPs and now three browsers can't get this one site to work, it ain't me. I apologize if I sound a bit touchy. I'm just getting a little frustrated now.

A lot of the WB skins and SysMetrix skins are not showing up in the Newest Additions on my browser and I check every day, therefore they can not be rated by everyone, if you can only see them in the library. Not fair to the artist, if everyone can not see them to rate them.

Since the site has migrated the servers to the west coast it has become painfully sloooooow 
It is starting to get to the point where I only visit the site maybe 50% of what I used to. I have been thinking maybe your still in the transition state but it has been a couple weeks.
I have a cable connection at over 2.0 Mbits per second...It's definitely this site. I hope the move wasn't a mistake

I agree. The site is VERY slow and I am on a 256 DSL connection. Sometimes the site will not even work. I just get errors all the time.

Make sure your connection in 'settings' is still set to Atlanta.

I keep editing my account to show 'screenshots' in my library and it's fine till I log back in (use WinWash regularly). Then it's no longer present in my library.
