Resolution Problems...

Tuesday, September 30, 2003 by Racer_CustomZ | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

Im running my 15inch viewable Compaq MV540 monitor @ 60hz, and im only able to use 800x600, and 1024x768 resolutions. My friends are getting 1280x with 60hz, and its bugging me because im starting to hate 1024x with windowblinds because i want more room, lol..

I have a 1year old geforce 4 Ti4400, 1.7ghz amd athlon XP, windows xp home OS, and plenty of power in the power supply and what not (400+ watts)

any ideas on what my problem might be?

thanks for any input

In revenge you could always try to push it to a higher res.....and wait for the 'bang' as its light goes out....but generally 'max' means exactly that...

Yea i put it on 70hz a couple times to try to punish it, but it just told me i had an unusable display and shut me back to 60.

Thats ok though, as soon as i get the 19 inch monitor im looking at this things got a 1 way ticket to the ground from 3 stories up
