Used to be 14 seconds, it's now over a minute (at least half of that is loading DesktopX on startup)

System Specs:
Pentium 2.6
40 gig
512 ddr
XP Home

I'm using logon studio and my computer runs WindowFX, Windowblinds, KaZaA ( ), Msn Messenger and Mcafee on startup.

I remeber booting up AT's at design school in the CAD room, 286's, you could turn on the computer walk outside talk with someone for a few minutes and walk back in to wait for it to finish. Then if you told it to print to the HP lazer you had pleanty of time for a walk down to the break area, get a cup of java, smoke a cig and walk back and it *might* be finished plotting, before it would print

and it was considered fast!

It found it alright but only on the microsoft page where it says "no longer available..."

Nearly all of hits I got this way simply pointed back to microsoft - finally found one german page that archived it locally. *Whew* that was more difficult than it should've been!

Sorry! I though *I* was the only one who was in the dark & didn't know where to get it!

I found another site that has it archived (bonus- it's in English ):

http://www.longshome.com/xp_boot.htm

Click on the link in the middle of the page that says: "Click Here"
