Star Trek Thread

OK anyone who is a Trekkie can post logical stuff here I guess. I just had a stupid question. Has anyone noticed that UPN quit showing DS9 at night?

I may be wrong about this, but I read somewhere that TNT (now Spike TV) would start airing DS9 in 2004 or 2005. I'm not sure what the rationale for such a late date is, unless it's syndication rights won't be up for grabs again until then, perhaps?

I really wanted to see "Enterprise" succeed for a couple reasons. One is because I have thoroughly enjoyed Trek through the years although not DS9 as much, but that is more due to it airing at times I couldn't watch, and too lazy to tape lol. Another reason though is because I liked Scott Bakula's earlier work, especially Quantum Leap. But this series has not done it for me. I find the stories less than compelling, and they seem to drag along. Archer has been made to not be as strong in making decisions at times, and no real characters that stand out.
Although it was a good idea to go back in time story-wise, it just doesn't work because our tech was so poor in the 60's, the series that should come after "Enterprise" as far as chronologically, looks like something from our recent past, not our near future. I believe they would have been better served having a series based on Vulcan or Klingon characters. Now that would have been a departure. Instead "Enterprise" is messing up the timeline.
And its apparent that this show isn't doing as well, as I just read today they will be adding to the title of the show. It will become know officially as "Star Trek: Enterprise" . Not sure when that takes effect though.

Can't wait to see Adam's work as he puts so much effort into it and has an attention to detail

Of course it's logical! It does not waste any space and you do not have to worry about it getting caught on something.

On a planetary surface such as Vulcan, environmental conditions mandate loose flowing clothing, but on a cramped starship, efficiency is paramount.

Of course.... there's the effect of reducing the efficiency of male crew members working around her
