Ok I have created another wall paper and this is the theme...It is called American Omega, I am sure you can see why. I made this purposely dark because all of the cool things you can use for bright icons and the what not. Like a cool wally for a space theme or something. I am open to suggestions to improve this and make it as best I can... Now I do like it currently and am only looking for a couple critiques to make it better, not change it....Originally the sun was completly black with a blue ora, but I decided to give it some depth and ligthing inside of it...
I hope you like, ,, PS7 Wacom and mouse... this is not the full size...

filters are not nessecarily plugins. I will tell you this. For whatever your doing there is a filter that can make it better. I am sorry to say it but true elite digital artist now how to use their plugins masterfully.... Now for straight paintings NO, I can see where you wouldn't use them... You are trying to emulate true realistic art. Not something that most likely can't be done with a real live paintbrush...
but what is that plugin I want to check it out...

I mean repainted by hand.....with a mouse....adjusting detail and accuracy that was not as 'simple' in watercolour......the digital medium makes error correction so triflingly easy.
Before claiming the validity/brilliance of one's own work, take a quick look at someone like Nuvem [in particular]...who is a master of traditional media as well as modern 'digital' work/s.....it'll be a sobering experience...and again, Deviantart.com has an extensive selection....sculpture, photo, and digital....

here is the filters I used...
1. the sperm like smoke on the astoroid balls, in hindsight guess I should have blurred them down or erased some of the tail...
2. Gausian blur, but that is a must especially when mixing colors...
3. The lens flare of course...
4. The flames on the balls and edge of the bottom scene
I am tired that is all I can think of...
My water effect is not a filter but an effect so you can't cound that.

As it is it will be rejected....and the problem arises that by posting it here on the board it is effectively a way to bypass the moderation process that all others must contend with.
I cannot say I'm all in favour of this at all.

...all in the name of 'art' of course...hehe
Angel_Wings implores China to put her "watercolor" lipstick on...hehe

Now if you said layers... I would totally agree with you because I do use a hell load of layers. But geez I told you I only used 5 filters... China your kids are cute by the way.. are those your kids? you must be in a mood today...
I am not putting this here to bypass the moderation process, I am putting this here to get feedback from citz and people to let me know what I can improve on.
See that is what I don't like about some of the feedback, not all but some, they just say some crack comment without saying... Hey i see what your idea is with the black sun and astroids, why dont' you do this and it should improve...
Now that would help immensly see what I mean????

Lens flares are considered 'taboo' because they do not exist in nature but are an affectation/result of an optical camera lens.
Point and click filter-use is most commonly the crutch of the person new to digital aet manipulation/creation....a case of 'wow, look at this trick' which quickly becomes tired and boring.
Put simply, 'frenzies' of ill-considered filter use will be rejected.....matters not from whom it originates....
