Why a .. START Button.?

I feel bad there is a great number of great skins for W..XP. i just dont get it why?
the skinners or the ones that makes them, ruin them putting the.. START button there all the time...why waste such
precious space for show your personality.. add a little gragon, a Star...an APple...ETC ETC..
Why all dont like that ugly START button, that is why we use Windowblinds... to get away from Bill gates and his START.. button..... heww.!!!

I can't stand those skins that use the Apple icon for the Start menu. It feels too much like a Mac for me, and although a genuine Mac is good, an imitation feels like an imitation.

people that ask for custom made skins often wants a startbutton because its a bit more 'orriginal', personaly I don't care wheter it has a startbutton or not.

Quite a few skins don't have the 'Start' on the button. Some use other words, some symbols, some blank. Look around, you'll see several.

I personally like the skins that have mouseovers where the start button is, I think those look cool, and start buttons or skin names in the start button area are ok as long as they aren't HUGE..

A skin I am working on has a black startbalk, with a red startbutton, on that startbutton the worth start + a little windows xp flag, looks nice.

I just put it through BabelFish and this is what it came up with:
"A skin I am working on has a black taskbar with a red 'Start' button. On the 'Start' button is the word 'Start' and a little Windows XP flag. It looks nice."

Apparently Gyurza hasn't looked at many skins. I have seen plenty that have different looking start buttons. It makes sense though to have many skins use the default words "start", because for some it helps to have something familiar. For me I don't care what it says, I don't use my taskbar lol. I hit the Windows Key to get my Start Menu.
So just remember everyone likes things in different ways, and if you really can't find a skin you like, then learn to skin and make it how you want.

No offenc, try puting it up with plain black without stars or clouds maybe a blackhole with that light coming out from it would be nice
