Stumpy, how you doing?

Yeah, thinking that maybe that would have been a good option. But he has had it for almost 3 months now but hasn't used it for much because he was out to sea the whole time.

I'd love to have it and problems are ok fine with me because I love to learn. He does also, but he gets too tense and then calling me up so it's best for me to figure this out before he has to head back to CA.

Could be bad ram.... You probably should take it in and have it tested.

I think I'll do as KarmaGirl suggests. I've noticed that after some update there is an issue that comes about with RAM that is not from Apple...

Something about not all RAM being equal and cuasing system instability so they do a bit check to ensure it is Apple compliant. Though it was bought as it is from Apple, so it could just be a bad stick, the first one probably. I think they address them in order and do not map out bad areas then skip to the next?

anyway...

I love it and will definitly wait for the G4-17 I've been wanting.

heck if I threw out PC's on the first issue that popups up could you imagine how much computing I would do?

Don't bother taking it back, use it as an ornament. You can't get any decent software for it so that's probably its best use

but...but...I don't know how to use an abacus....I'm not even sure that I have ever seen on in person (me being the person, not the abacus..hehe....)  I need more coffee...or a stiff drink...or both....

It's OK Barbie, ah, I mean KarmaGirl!

kidding!!!

My wife threw out all my daughters Barbie things when she was real small and gave away the new stuff in boxes when she heard about that "Maths to Hard" thingy that Talking Barbie would say..

Cracked me up considering my wife is the best Mathematician I know next to my cousin who went to MIT and my Step Brother who does the Stats for all the Miami Sports teams...

I'm not bad in math....I am just too young to really have used any of
that.  When I was in elementary school, we were learning about computers
(had them in the classroom in 5th grade), the rest of school involved
calculators.  I was born in 1972.....

Don't waste your money on the Alienwares. Get the same thing as the Area 51 from Sager. Got my sager5660 from pctorque. Expected the worse. But it's been great. OSX is pokey. Mac people just don't want to admit it. I know. I'm one of them. I work on one 5 days a week.

Also, don't hesitate to send the mac in for service if it's still under warranty.
