We don't have 7 eleven here. We had them in Manassas Va, where I grew up.
We used to have one here. Long gone now.
We have hundreds of 7 Elevens here in Australia, with many attached to service stations/fuel stops. They are great for last minute things forgotten in regular supermarkets, but they can be rather expensive places to shop.

It's OK, Tom. I went into it a few times for you back in the day They used to have fairly decent donuts. Not as good as Rozier's, though. Granted, it's been at least 25 years since I've been in it. Honestly, I can't remember the last time I drove down Main Street.

I'm just curious if it will be a free upgrade for users of Windows 10 or will MS make us pay for it.

I very much doubt that MS will make 11 a free upgrade. In fact, I very much doubt MS would discount 11 for Win 10 users. When MS was giving away Win 10 in the early days, it was in an effort to retire Win 7 and 8. Given that the majority of users are now on Win 10, it is very unlikely they will do that this time.

I really can't worry about it until I see some good specific system requirements, that'll define the situation. I still have a bad taste in my mouth from Win8 which didn't really have heavy requirements but did need a couple of specific processor features, one of which I was lacking. (Turned out that trying to force feed that machine Win7 didn't go so well either.)
Meanwhile, I'll just keep staring at this "Feature update to Windows 10, version 21H1" notice for a little while longer. It amuses me.

11 is supposed to be free, as 10 was.
The fact that the leaked version can be activated as I mentioned above, speaks for that.
I sit corrected. We all knew how desperate MS was to get people off previous versions and onto Win 10, but I would not have expected MS to go the free route again.
Anyway, free or not, I shall wait a while longer before diving in head first. However, if MS is basing Win 11 on the Win 10 code, with perhaps new and improved features, then it likely won't repeat the error that was Win 8. Thing is, I thought Win 8.1 was quite good and probably would have stayed with it if I hadn't been irreversibly upgraded to Win 10 during Scheduled Maintenance one night.
After a few teething problems I actually didn't mind Win 10, so if Win 11 is very much improved on 10 as it stands, I would imagine the transition would be painless for most users.

Thanks for the link, Doc, it was a very interesting article. It seems from the article that Win 11 will most likely be free for users of Win 7: 8.1 and 10. If that proves to be true then I will upgrade after a period of 'wait and see' to assess whether or not there are some hiccups with the early editions. If Win 11 is largely based on the current Win 10 code, it is likely that it will be okay right out of the box. Having said that, though, new OSes often suffer a few early days teething problems, which is why I'll keep an eye on things before taking the plunge.

I have low expectations.
Probably just some new icons, and a new push for tiles which I still hate.
