Is a Single big wallpaper for dual monitor possible?

Sunday, September 7, 2003 by dexterbelle | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

So far the only way I`ve been able to use one wide image to cover both monitors is with Ultramon(Decent software but expensive with way more features than I need). I guess my question is since it`s possible with 3rd party software, does anyone know a way to do this without using said software? Reg hack maybe? With my Radeon vid card and the newest drivers all I can do is have the same image on both screens.Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanx in advance.

I do it all the time. Both monitors are set to the same resolution. (1024 x 768). I use Corel Photopaint to either create a new wall or modify an existing one. I make the wall 2048 x 768 and then on the 'Desktop' tab in 'Display Properties' I set the 'Postition' setting to 'Tile'. Works every time.

Remember, if you want to use different resolutions on each monitor then you will have to adjust the size of the wallpaper accordingly.

Hope this helps.
