DeviantART why can i upload there and not here?

I"M new at this and have tried to upload a wall for a week to no aval 
. I keep getting you have uploaded a ivalid file format. The preview is in jpg with .jpg in the file name and the bitmap is in the zip file with the same name .I uploaded exactlly the same way on Deviantart and no problem. I could understand if it uploaded and wasn't accepted as i'm new at this and alot of good graphic artists are here..Anyone know what i'm doing wrong?? .jpg image is 38 kb and bitmap zip is 2.25 mb ACDsee BMP image..Thanx for the help

It will not upload keeps telling me i have tried to upload an invalid file format.

KiddKohiba....be sure not to use odd characters in the file names.....just alpha-numeric only....that is generally the problem....people using punctuation, asterisks, etc....

I've never had that problem before. Maybe you should try uploading your preview as a different file name. Try including preview in the name for the preview image. Just a suggestion.

Maybe you're timing out due to the 2.25 meg zip file. Try zipping up a jpg, saved at the lowest compression setting, and perhaps increasing the compression on the zip file.

I have the same problem as you KiddKohiba. I have given up trying to upload a screenshot of some skins i am working on, i always get the same error message, 'You have tried to upload an invalid file format!' But there is NOTHING wrong with the format/size of the file/no unusual characters/no spaces/no gremlins/no illegal aliens etc.
I hope you resolve this situation as it will also help me!
By the way..........I also uploaded this file FIRST TIME on SKINBASE org!
