Object Dock

Sunday, August 24, 2003 by horizon | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

Ok, I got a question to anyone thats got the answer. To make an icon for object dock, is all one needs to do is just save an image as a .png, or is there a bit more to it than that? Just wondering cause all I have going for me are my walls, and I'm wanting to broaden my horizons...no pun inten....ah who the hell am I kidding, pun intended. Any way, any help is appreciated and I just might send you a smiley face sticker courtesy of wally world.

Yeah, Horiz0n is gonna broaden his horizons [kind of confussing ]
But its cool that you wanna experiment with other things. Like Brainiac said, 192x192 or 128x128 .png will do it. Its always good to see new stuff [or old stuff improved]
I look foward to see your new work

lol, Since I had something else to work on I was ready to go to stardock and buy Object Dock, just now figured out it's free, doh! it amazing how much I love this thing, course now I gotta figure out how it works, I'm still overly fascinated by just moving my mouse over it, it's like when I got osx all over again.

it's hard not to, I got 2 questions though, I've only restarted my pc once since putting it on, but when it restarted all the icons and settings reverted to default, and Object dock didn't come on when it was booted up, (started with taskbar and start button instead of object dock) was that a fluke, or is there a setting i need to change for it to save my settings and start up using object dock instead of start/task. 2nd is, and i've seen it asked plenty but can't get it to work right, is there a way to put the start menu on object dock that works like the start menu, all i can get is a link to the folder with the programs the start menu contains. thanks

Question 1...Place a shortcut to O'Dock in your Start-up folder.

Question 2...To link to the StartMenu, the simplest way is to download PresStart http://www.tsoftcentral.com/tools/index.html
and link to that.

Go to your Start Menu, then All Programs, should be somewhere near the Accessories folder.

Don't use freehand but it's a nice looking icon.
