Download Limit

Download limit? First of all, I am the biggest button creator for Start10, totaling almost 200,000 downloads ... I have always posted my art and always downloaded it. My arts were always free, I used time to do everything with great care and affection to maintain a good quality. Do you know what R $ 56.00 in Brazil means? Is expensive! and even if I do not charge anything or have no profitability, do people have to pay (subscribe) to download? where is my profit? Honestly, I miss Stardock from the 2000s. To get an idea, I can't even download my own buttons ... that's the bonus after years of contributing to the site. I do not agree with that ... I know that as much as I have done so many arts, I am just a little ant that will not be missed by you. It's sad, sorry for my bad English, and besides, I'm out.

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.
I have been a customer for many years. Now I can't download because I'm not registered. I have spent a lot of money here and don't feel I need to register to spend it. I frequently buy skins and if that isn't good enough I'll just move on.
You are 'registered'. What problems are you having downloading?

Try to understand that I help the site by creating content, Maybe I haven't been posting as much lately, but I'm not a simple user who is always sucking art from the site. I have jobs to post here, I even sent wallpapers made entirely by me. I have plans to learn more about developing customizations for other Stardock apps. I think there was a little missing about "Looking at the little ones". I am willing to enter into an agreement with you, in exchange for me purchasing some Stardock products, but that has to favor both sides, and not just your side.

I am new to posting here but not new to Stardock and it seems to have changed considerably since my last visit. I bought CursorFX and downloaded a few cursor's, one which I even liked, the rest are very low resolution when enlarged for low visibility. Like the op I also have landed upon a download limit right away and didn't even realize there was one.
These are poor business practices and I'm disappointed this software has taken this tack with the community and customers. I thought this was a community that shared art. Subscriptions are not unexpected when they support the dev's and the consumer is made aware of them prior to purchasing software, but user submitted free content shouldn't be used to profit.
Today I came in to see why when my Windows 10 computer failed to retain the cursor I had been using last night, so evidently there are bugs in this software. I don't pay to be a beta tester of unstable software but had clean uninstalled and reinstalled it and if it continues with this behavior I'd like to request a refund after only using this program a few days. I regret not using it as a 30 day trial instead to see if it was Win10 v 20H2 ready. As it stands I'm using ONE cursor I actually like called 'neovision' or 'fluent' alternately which came with the app for $4 and am unsure they'll remain each time I reboot or my machine sleeps. It got worse, these don't uninstall properly and must be removed in C:\Users\Public\Documents\Stardock\CursorFX\Themes manually or they get stuck in the app.
Thanks for reading both my thoughts on this topic and the issues I've had within days of purchase.

I haven't bought any of your products yet, I started doing some arts a long time ago for an old physics teacher who had the product Start8 and Windowblinds. Unfortunately, I no longer have contact with this teacher, because I moved to another city and I couldn't find him on social networks or phone contacts anymore, so I decided to post the arts that I did on the site, because I knew that a lot of people would be interested (fact). I became very interested in that, and saw the reaction of some people about the result. I really want to get Start10 and Windowblinds. I was unemployed for a long time, but I got a new job and I think that at the end of December I can buy 2 of their products. to test the arts I made for Start10 I used another similar software from another company, which, however, in my view, should not be as good as the Start8 that I knew was my teacher. I spent a lot of time just drifting, assembling the arts in photoshop, and creating a preview from scratch simulating in the best possible way how the final result would be. I make it clear that I was never in favor of piracy and I make a point of acquiring all the software of my interest, just as I do with my games on Steam, Origin, Uplay, Blizzard and etc. To get around the problem of not having Start10 I used another free software, which I don't want to publicly measure, but I can show pintscreen in private if necessary. Again, forgive me for my terrible English

Joey, your language skills are impressive, don't worry about that. I am not entirely sure what the problems here are but I got that same message you did and don't even know why. I never knew there were limits on submitted content so was surprised. I've since removed lesser liked cursors manually and now I'm able to use others if that helps any. Maybe they limit how many we can download at a time? Perhaps it's a bandwidth limit per day, I'm not sure what the cause or reasoning is behind this. Consider it may have been an error or glitch they resolve and with luck this will be the case. I'll give them benefit of the doubt as I'm pretty sure they don't intend to anger anyone.
My problems are with the software itself. The settings don't behave in a stable manner such as cursor size or the other adjustments. I return and my cursor has changed along with settings for the one I was using. I have to keep starting over every time I use a new cursor! That's crazy, the settings should remain. The program should easily uninstall all of the cursors, that's not the case. I also notice that prior cursors leave remnants of themselves while using a different cursor. This may be Windows 10 related, it could be the program, it's hard to tell, but something is acting buggy and it's frustrating. At least once I've settled on a cursor I want to use it stays put for the day, so that much is good. I hate to complain being as I've been a computer user a long time and even have studied programming and so know it can be complex but this is such a simple app I'm just not sure why it's misbehaved unless Microsoft made changes to the OS that Stardock hasn't yet addressed.
I hope your issues are straightened out to your satisfaction soon. You sound like a good person trying to be part of a community with all the best intentions. The world needs more like you and my further hope is that you find stable work and a happy life during these complicated and difficult times.
WHAT? Okay, I'm so done, this is draconian and the irony on a download limit post isn't at all wasted on me.

I have a better idea, I'll stop buying flaky software and leave for good but want a refund. A new member of a community shouldn't be prevented from speaking or responding to posts ever. This is not how to treat people and I'll return to my art community and rescind recommendation of this software.

Freespoken, the temporary limit on repetitive/frequent comments applies only to a new member to act as a controller of spammers and spam posting. Once a new member is established after a short period the limitation is removed...
