I saw a threat where Skinstudio 4 was said to be close to finishing.

Is there any other information available on this?

Yes they have threatened to release it soon. Just kidding,I have no idea,but am looking forward to it.

3.95[a].002 was released yesterday, for ObjectDesktop subscribers, so yes, it's close.
