I would think they would want the Iraqi people on their side, but you don't do that by destroying your own people and attacking the one place that will help you to get food and medicine.

Thats just it, they do not care about the Iraqi people, they have 100,000 Americans in an open country where they are hard to spot because they fit into the local population. Also, Saddam told his people all the way back in 1976 that if they were to ever be removed from power they would not leave an Iraq to anyone else's rule. Then the mullah's are paying a bounty on Americans sent home in body bags. So you have at least three groups who frankly don't give a squat about the people as a whole, only selectively.

Madness... why would the Iraqi's bomb the only agency that was there bringing them needed food and relief supplies? The only world group that opposed the invasion and tried to mediate a solution — and was on the ground with supplies for schools and hospitals as well as food and water for the desperate citizens.

Israel was in the process of returning 4 cities to Palestinian control. Those talks have been suspended because of the bombing. The bus bombing injured many children, many families, in a deeply religious community, a Hassidic neighborhood. Responsibility has been claimed simultaneously by Hamas and Islamic Jihad. Both those groups were participating in the current cease-fire.

It makes no sense. Aside from the victims who is hurt the worst by these actions? In Iraq it's the Iraqi people. In Israel it's the Palestinians. Whoever is responsible for these attacks, they seem to be aimed at preventing Israel's negotiations with the Palestinians and alienating the Iraqi's from the insurgents opposing the American occupation forces.

I turned on CNN to see what happened in Baghdad and saw the street scene in Jerusalem. I was overwhelmed and started to weep as I watched the live footage. So many children maimed and everyone looked so terrified. Violence is a sickness that has infected the entire world. What is the cure?

I have often wondered (though I know it is not possible to accomplish) how long the terror flames would burn without the extensive media coverage? People like Bin Laden, I think they are more mentally ill than they are religious. They are doing this for the media coverage as much as anything else. Maybe they should start spiking the drinking water with haldol (an antipsychotic medication), and just turn off the cameras.

People respond kind of automatically to news as terrible as we see today. They want the government to do something about it. They don't mind increasing military budgets to $390 billion plus $80 billion for "black ops" and the odd $6 billion a month to aid in the "war on terror". They don't complain when new laws which restrict freedom and remove previously guaranteed rights are passed.

Ultimately, who benefits from all of this? The people? Hardly. We give up freedoms and money to the cause and we're more unsafe than before. I know my views are very unpopular but I can't help feeling the way I do. I've watched government manipulation of world opinion and world events for 40 years. I've researched, read and tried to be as objective and honest about it as I can. I've experienced the subtrefuge of government manipulation first hand and was almost a victim of it myself, for which the FBI apologized to me personally.

This is not a forum where minds will be changed or opinions taken as anything but more noise. Don't dislike me for what I say, I wish I could tell you everything I've seen but that's not possible. I only wish people would hold their leaders accountable for their actions. Actions like America "inventing" the Taliban with a $50 million program in Pakistan. America creating thousands of terrorists and training them, arming them  and rewarding their actions with more money and more arms. Why would our country do this? Who benefits?

According to Zbignew Brezynski, founder of the Trilateral Commission and Jimmy Carter's Foriegn Secretary, America needed a new enemy as the cold war was winding down and Islamic fundamentalist terrorists was his idea as the perfect choice. He got the funding to create the Taliban and the rest came in future administrations with setting up an extensive network of terrorist training and recruiting operations — including the formation of a fictitious group invented by a few old CIA recruiter/trainers (like Osama bin Laden) and now known as "al Qaida".

The current administration is made up of the same people that were in power when we created the Taliban, the ISI and the group that became al Qaida. The "Presidential papers" from that administration were scheduled to be released to historians two years ago but Bush locked them up in secrecy forever. One thing that was not locked up was the manifesto for his administration in which most of the key members of his administration said "In order to accomplish our goals what America needs is a new Pearl Harbor".

The War on Terror is no accident. Saddam Hussein was no accident. 9/11 was America's new Pearl Harbor. Who benefitted from 911 and the war on terror? Who's goals were most forwarded by these world events? Where do the hundreds billions of dollars spent end up? These are questions any investigator would start with. For help with the answer start with this question... Who begged Congress to NOT investigate 911?

It seems that Iraq is being viewed as a nation 'up for grabs' since Saddam was removed from power. I'm seeing stories that terrorists, insurgents, resistance (call them what you will) are coming into the country from numerous spots .. Syria, Pakistan, etc. Probably several factions with the intent of causing so much unrest and dissent, what unifying force that is there now will leave and then the strongest/most powerful faction can take over a country that has the potential to be one of the economically sound in the region. Iraq had wealth, granted Saddam kept most of it for his own design. Whomever can take it from the Iraqi people will have quite a plum.
It is sad and terrible what happened to the UN in Iraq but hopefully it will spur a more unilateral initiative and force to bring order to Iraq and ensure Iraq is left for the Iraqis.

The funny thing about terrorist is this:

After a year or so of killing anyone in a area they usually loose 'sight' of the whole mission. There cause become thier routine. The answer becomes kill them, but no real solution to what happens if they do, or how to return or keep some sort of civilness during and after.

AND, most terorists after time, seek only to be in power. Their battle becomes to be popular with the people and keep the blood spilling so the cycle can continue.



Then their are goverments:

consperiacies (spell?) are only as good as the paper it is written on. As muchas I do believe that someone said and belives America neded another "Pearl Harbor", the bottom line will always be that there are those who are just as under handed and as much in the know and in control as the comspiritors.

After a while all these hidden conspiricies add up to countering themselves. They all don't have the same goals or visions.

In fact, I would say most of the world powers are to some extent democraies or republics and have a notion of free will. There is no way to totally control that will to make a "new pearl habor' work totally.

I that was the plan, even now it seems flaud. It could quite posibly distroy what was trying to be made in the first place. (of which I believe was the new world order; one army, one country, and maybe one religion...maybe)

In the end I think it will all work out. We'll either all die, have misarable lives controled by the government and coprarations with 49% unemplyment or capitlism turns into (or transforms because of the cheapness of making every day products) socialism and free food, medical care, education and housing is the norm.

ah Joe, you just described our mission in Iraqs start. They had the verbage down pat and no idea how to do it which was one of the arguments of starting in the first place, at least have a clear and concise path beyond Kill em all...

Also a Peral Harbor style attack or one worse would be all that was needed to incite the citizens of the USA to demand our government go around the globe protecting us before someone happened to do something to us...

Social Engineering is odd in that, fear and anger, anger and fear. Tell me, exactly who functions with total rational thought processes when they are in complete and utter fear? TC media blitzing it at you, the administration blitzing it at you and so on, terrorist threat levels in Life Saver color shcemes that are totally useless and they damn well know it. If you take the Hurricain model of costal regions, people pretty much ignore them after so many false warnings and do not move out of the way when one walks over them because " We didn't get enough warning, or, we didn't think it would keep coming at us"...

I mean come on, wrap your house in plastic and duct tape?

That is just about laughable, anyone had chem/bio training in the military and seen the films, or at least watched anything on the History channels Weapons of War and the research documentaries on Bio/Chem Weapons? If so do you think anyone who wrapped their home in plastic had a snowballs chance in hell of living if the house was exposed?

IPlural... that's the weird thing about this world. The sane people are the ones that own up to their problems and get help. By doing that they get a label. The really insane ones don't think anything is wrong, and resort to force, blackmail (emotional as well as economic)....

historically the worst at times seem to be put in charge.

I was watching this docu on the history channel about the lady who did all the NAZI prapaganda films of the Olympics in NAZI Germany. They showed some of the stuff that hit the cutting room floor. His facial expressions, twitching, constant rocking back and forth, head bobing all indications of a really off person. The face of insanity all on the floor by design, if the German people had seen it I am betting they would have got a clue really quick and so would the world without a doubt...
