LCARS (Star Trek) Objectbar and other skins

I was wondering if anyone could give me hints, or tips on how to make an LCARS-based object bar, along with other objectdesktop items. I would also like to thank the creator of the LCARS V WindowBlinds skin, that's how I first got the idea of doing a complete OD skin

That would be very cool. What I really want to know is, are there any sites I could grab a whole bunch of this from (icons, etc)? And what would I need to do for permissions, etc?

You might like this site that I bookmarked a while ago. Tons of Star Trek Cursors, Icons and stuff.

I'm sure you can find the original artist in the files. And, maybe just send a email request to use their stuff in a Stardock theme. Most of them are kind enough to grant permission with acknowledgement to them.
Also, think 3D and modify them a bit. I think these are old and not really up to the new 3D quality.

And wouldn't a Klingon vessel cursor be awesome? What about the borg? (Take me 7of9! I won't resist.) lol.
