Any suggestions?

Sunday, August 17, 2003 by Weaksid | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

I'll probably be told to put this over in another topic area. But this is all I can see with my WC browser. I also wanted to start a new thread since we are hitting the UzEE one hard.

I was wondering if there are anybody out there with suggestions on how I could make this better -> https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=8&SkinID=11050 The reason I ask is because if nobody is going to comment or even rate it and it stays at a low level of DLs and at the same rating. I'm just going to delete it to free up space. I hope some other people that are ranking low will think about deleting their work too to free up space. But I'm just looking at my work mainly. So, I'm just asking for suggestions on how I might go about to make it better to maybe get higher ranking with it.

I also noticed along with many other people's work, not too many people are rating like they used to.

Thanks

I'm with you weaksid,I dont want anything in my list below a 5 so I updated the one 4 I had and managed to creep up to a 5.If it hadnt I probably would have deleted it even tho its one of my favorites.
As far as yours goes its not bad ,it just looks unfinished without any kind of background.Just an object instead of a wallpaper.(your not the only one).
I totally agree with you about people moderating their own work tho.I f something cant even break a 100 dl's in a month(like mine was doing),I sa y pull it.

I'm not a wall critic, although I'm qualified since I can't do one

I.R. Thanks for the comment. It's actually in a box, you can tell by my first attempt which is version one -> http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/1644692/

But I'll try to think of something to try to make version 2 better. I was trying to work on 2D work but just don't know where to go with it. It's part of a series I thought of, at the end you'll see the big picture of where it is. But that's going to take a while. I have to upgrade some stuff so I can render my projects faster.

Wow, I just realized that DA is still having major bugs. I can't see my comments or anything on that page for version one. And I definally had alot more downloads then what it says. I hope they fix things soon.

I would suggest creating some kind of complimentary background in PS.

LMAO

IR, so pull the main image from the Bryce Render and add it to a Photoshop background I would make?

You know, I have never thought about doing something like that.

Weaksid, from my point of view, I think in consistance with the name of the design you might want to add perhaps some lightning effect within the sphere and maybe some burst glare on the outer image (adding a 2nd color ofcourse)
That might give the image a more outstanding look.

Yes it does need some other color to compliment the green.I can only take so much green and black.(course thats totally personal preference)

Definetly more detailed background would help.

It's not that people hate Bryce, I happen to like Bryce, it's that you start to get tired of looking at a glob of twisted tubes in various colors.

Bryce is like a loaded gun. In the wrong hands it can be dangerous.
Apocalypse_67 is a Bryce user by the way.
