How to apply downloaded Themes?

I've downloaded a few themes, but i'm not sure where to put the files, or how to apply them.

I'd appreciate any help

Do you have windowblinds installed?They will install themselves automatically if you do.Just right-click on the desktop and go to the properties page.Click the appearance tab and select a theme from the drop down window. then enjoy the eye candy!
