100 degrees Fahrenheit....first time ever recorded.
Of course where I am we average 4 days over that every year...and the top temp recorded in Oz was 50.1 degrees Centigrade....[122 degrees in the old scale]...
Maybe they'll learn to chill their grog....

Tell me about it... Over here in the UK we are baking compared to our normal crappy rain we get 
But I'd still rather be here than in Iraq where the temp just hit 53C today

Only 94 F today here. Considered pleasantly warm (and it's a dry heat as they say.)
127 is beyond my comprehension. 110-115 I'm aquainted with and that's certainly bad enough. But 127??? Oy.

The heat here has been the unpleasant kind. On Sunday I was watching a cricket match where the temp was 99, one of the experienced international cricketers said he'd played all over the world and the only place which came close for unpleasant heat was Guyana.
It starts to get sticky and unpleasant here at about 80, I've been in the desert at 130 and it doesn't feel that bad, just 'hot'.
Today is back to normal, phew...
I'll never understand why people go to hot countries for holidays. 70-75 is good for me.

Was in Africa years and years ago, in the middle of the "dry season". It hit 140 one day. Let me tell you, all you want to do is find a tree somewhere and sit down all day, sweating off all the liquid in you.

I don't like heat. i would hate to live someplace where it is hot all the time. Michigan is perfect for me because the seasons are so different from each other. The summers only have a few days of extreme heat, and the Winters usually don't get that cold anymore (of course, my idea of cold my not be the general idea of cold 
)

Uhh, I am the total opposite. It can't get hot enough for me!!
I lived up in Townsville (North Queensland) for 3 years and I absolutely loved the hot (35 Degrees Celsius) and humid weather there.
Everthing below 20 Degrees Celsius makes me shiver!!
