Ah, the Pythons won't cease to be relevant as long as people take themselves way too seriously when they're engaging in things that are really way too silly (but they don't know it). 
I can't quite remember, but didn't they once have a bunch of old biddies (not a Sarte club, was it?) reenacting the invasion of Normandy (D-Day?) Or was it the Norman invasion (which was in the opposite direction)? Ok, I might be off by a few years [ok, centuries...ok almost a millenium but only if you include a rounding factor and round up which is not std practice] but it's the thought that counts.
(PS We need a really silly smilie, btw.)
