Is there a reg version of the Beta?
I only now just found and installed the beta version which expires in September.

I had to install the beta because with some downloads I got a message this was made with a newer version and may not work properly.

I have the registration, but when I installed it over the reg version it became unregistered.

I can find nowhere to enter the number, the option isn't there.

Brice : You installed the Trial. AFAIK there is no reg. Trial for DX 2... Perhaps You could go here https://www.stardock.com/support , enter the mail-adress You registered DX with and see what You get.

Brice, all betas expire, registered or not. I'm sure you'll download and install a newer beta before that one expire. When the final version of DX 2 comes out, you can then install it and it won't expire.
