Oranda Cursors
Thursday, April 2, 2020 by MadDeez | Discussion: OS Customization
Greetings everyone,
I hope everybody is safe and healthy. These are difficult times we are facing. Please follow the advice of the noted philosopher Samuel L Jackson and Stay the F*ck At Home! Be safe, everybody!
I've attempted to install the Oranda Cursor set which was released many, many years ago with only bad luck. Will it be updated to have compatibility with the upcoming release of the new Cursor program?

Thanks for the prompt reply.
Windows version is Windows 10 ver. 1809 build 17758.4
Cursor FX Plus version is 2.16
When installing Oranda, everything looks okay as it goes through the process but the cursors aren't there. I thought maybe they were installed to another location where CFX Plus can't see them but if they are, I can't find them either. After another attempt to install the cursors, there was a message about Windows Compatibility so I tried installing Oranda using Compatibility Mode for Win XP SP3, Vista SP2, Win 7, and Win 8. Nothing worked even though all the dialog boxes and animations appeared so it looked like Oranda was being installed.
The good news is CFX Plus isn't disappearing behind the start menu and dialog boxes like it was years ago before I uninstalled it.

Hello,
About the Oranda Cursors. When I download mine from my account it come with one Zip files. "OrandaCFX.zip" Double click on it, open the Winrar and list of 5 cursors in it with ".cursorFX" extension. Double click on each of those will open up CursorFX and install that Cursor into CursorFX and CursorFX listing update accordingly.
Which part/step on your system look different?
Thank you,

When I download Oranda I get a file called Oranda-cursors.exe.
I have added (not replaced) a different one to your account - one that will be a zip with the cursors that you can unzip here:
\Users\Public\Documents\Stardock\CursorFX\Themes

I just bought the Oranda Cursors and came across the same problem: the executable seems to install fine but the cursors are nowhere to be found!
Do not panic! Just go to C:\Program Files (x86)\CursorXP\Themes\Themes, and double-click on each of the .CurXPTheme files to have the cursors installed and appear in CursorFX!
