One I get asked to do sometimes which I really can't put into words is how to utilize the different layering styles that you can apply to separate layers and how they interact

Nuyan, to deal with graphics for skinning cant be explained in tutorials, that has to be your own creativity. If you have that creativity, you can do tutorials to realize that.

G_A, I Think I get what you mean, its pretty hard to put it into words indeed... I will have a look at it

I already have a glass and plastic one, I will do the gel button tonight, and maby also the metal one, and I was thinking about 'embosed' buttons, you know, that they are in the template.

Thanks SS...I don't have PS right now, but will be getting it very soon...those will come in quite handy! A tutorial I have been searching for (no luck) is on how to make objects look slightly inset into either a background or against a navbar. I've been trying to do it in PSP, but it turns out wonky.

btw...not sure if it's my 'puter, but when I visited your website, the main page (not the splash/enter one) opened with some errors, and the interface was jumbled around a bit...otherwise, looks nice!

sssssh, don't say I know, we are trying to get it fixed, there is indeed (still) an error in the left frame, but it uses Iframes, quite confusing, if you have a higher resolution then 800X600, and open it full screen, the frames should be working ok.

Making something slightly inset into something is rather simpel, when you have an object, like a button, and a bar behind it, and for example the bar behind it is black to white, from the bottom, then you copy the shape of your button, make it 1 pixel larger than the button on each side, but make sure its behind it, and fill it with a gradient with black above, and white down....

* gasph * , hope I got it right, and you can understand it... however I will add a 'emboss' tutorial to the list.
