He'll be missed by many generations.

An English gentleman and an American Institution.

1903 - 2003

I used to watch all his movies when I was a kid, especially the "Road" series. My best friends father was Bob Hope's double, (uncanny resemblance!) and would entertain us with impersonations. I will look forward to the tribute programs that will surely surface on television anytime soon, and they will probably screen all the movies too. Bob Hope's comedic talents and Bing Crosby's voice were a sure winner in any movie (not to mention Dorothy Lamours curves!)

Thanks for the memories, Bob.

Did Bob Hope appear on cartoons - Looney Tunes? He was the greatest performer & comedian. I can't believe he died 100 yrs old. Wow!

Whatever you are, Bob, rest in peace. We miss & love ya.

What a marvellous gentleman and a great comic. Loved by many and will be missed by many. He also played a very mean game of golf as well.

I've only shed a tear for three Hollywood people in all my life. Lucille Ball, Jackie Gleason and now Bob Hope.

His impact on the world, and especially me, will be remembered for centuries to come. Thanks Mr. Hope!

Great right to the end. His Daughter related a story about him being asked where he would like to be buried...his answer....."surprise me!"

Will miss him

Bob Hope was one of a kind, he founded the U.S.O. and he did things that many Hollywood elites would never have done. He went to dangerous places in order to entertain and lift morale of troops.

In contrast to today’s crybaby celebrities like martin sheen, Barbara Streisand, Tim robins, Susan Sarandon, Jeannine garafalo, Johnny depp, Sean penny and the rest of the benedict Arnolds who strive to undermine the policies of their own county.

Actors who think they are suddenly experts in the field of national security, or that as actors they are qualified to voice their opinions in delicate matters such as nuclear proliferation.

Instead of giving of themselves and founding something like the USO as Bob Hope did, what do they do? They found not in our Name… an organization designed to undermine the foreign policies of their own country, it is an interesting comparison.

Bob hope used his celebrity status not only to entertain, but also to help the country that he loved.

Pint and Old Crab were sitting on the porch when we heard the news. Old Crab sniffled a bit. Pint chuckled and said "l'll bet God is in the audience....and won't mind the zingers at all." >
