is this good enough? - 'graphic people's opinion needed'

Hi, I just got an assignment from a dutch festival named artquake.
Now I came up with a wmp skin, but I am wondering, is it professional enough to sell it?
And if not, how can I improve it?

Styl...you'd probably have to 'display' the actual skin....make it available for selective evaluation....that image won't be enough to determine a skin's function/qualities.....just be careful how and who you release it to as obviously you'll want to control its ownership...

Jafo, I am just doing the graphics, the code will be the work of another person of styl-x. Btw, when I 'sell' it to artquake, I am still allowed to upload it here and on my site right?

I think it needs more detail, and the cut-outs at each side need a little cleaning up. Just my opinion.

You can make whatever deal you wish with your client...as to alternate distribution rights...but be aware that their purchase of it would be of more value to them if it also rendered it 'exclusive'....unless the mass-distribution is seen by them as 'promotional' [for them]...

I agree with BoXXi. It looks like a great base. The cutouts on the sides need some smoothing out, and maybe another layer of detail on top would be nice. I'd also like to see the buttons in place and maybe some mocked up track information in the window.
As a side note, every skin I've designed professionally has become the property of whoever paid me to make it. I don't have the right to post it anywhere without their permission. I even get permission just to show screenshots of them on my own site.

thanks all! I have fixed the cut outs now and am thinking where to put some more detail.
Its made for artquake witch is a pop festival, so its like a 'promotion' for them. They travel trough holland and visit schools to promote their activity's and they are looking for young talent. I think it will only come on their site, so I think they agree if I want to post it here and on my own site.
(do I need written permissions in that case?)

Agreement must be reached between yourself and your client as to how and where anything is displayed or distributed....it's a contractual agreement...

They probably would want to post it on other sites, since its purpose is to promote the festival. You definately need to discuss that with them though, and not just assume it. They may want to post it under their own name, for example. Or maybe there are sites where they cannot post it due to other contractual obligations they have that you might not be aware of. Better safe than sorry.
