And yet another month goes by....we're rapidly running out of 2019...

Time to show what's on your Desktops in October.

[mine's a bit of a mess....wrestling VM updates to several machines.....and once again...I have to say I really don't like Win 8]...

-I'm Out.

Ah, come on guys, there's already too few of us to get upset with each other over relatively small things.  Let's just drop the subject and pretend it never happened.

I totally understand where you are coming from as many times I am the same: I go direct to the point without beating around the bush, and although I mean well (well, most of the time ahah) that does leave me wide open for misinterpretation or someone taking offense at what I wrote (and when dealing with customers that isn't exactly a good thing lol). There's the spirit the message is sent, and then there is the spirit in which it is received, and if there is a mismatch....

Anyway, love your ZONA skin. Would be a really good match for Danilo's Winstep Evolve theme (in fact, it would be really cool to make a modified version of the latter so it matched ZONA better).

And nofx1994, for what it's worth, I like your theme too. I think the best attitude is to try not to be discouraged by criticism or take it personally - nobody is an expert when they're starting. I still remember Renato's (Treetog) first few themes for NextSTART nearly 20 years ago, they were absolutely AWFUL ahaha (he was actually glad that they were lost when Skinz.org went down). Then he went on to become one of the best theme authors around, to the point of even working with Stardock.

Personally I prefer a thousand times harsh constructive criticism over 'boot licking'. Only one of those things truly compels you to try harder.

So... more screenshots!

Or discourage a new skinner to not to even bother. Trust me, there is enough boot licking here to last for years.
Again, it's the method and the way it's said that can help someone. I am not against constructive criticism, but some of you seem to think that you can just say whatever you want the way you want and it's ok because you have been here a long time and you are a master, well sorry but I don't accept that and never will so perhaps this forum is the wrong place for me to be. It has nothing to do with being sensitive or not being able to accept criticism, but I was always told to treat someone the way you want to be treated and I know that if I was to tell one or more of you here that your master skins were not up to snuff that you would be very offended, heck, I cannot even make simple suggestions if testing skins that do not make the skinners get their panties in a bunch, I know first hand that it does not go both ways.
So go ahead and say and do what you want to do because according to you guys it's ok. I will shut up this time unless I am asked a direct question.

What it means is, if you are one of the privileged people, then you can do no wrong.

Ok first off thank you very much to the ones that understood where I was coming from. Now yes this is my first window blinds theme, but I have been building themes for years on vistastyle builder so I know my graphics are up to par and encourage criticism but not straight up bashing. How you word something is everything and when using bold font to comment on something especially worded incorrect one takes this as a direct insult. I also know there are the "Masterbuilders" here but this is just one site and just like other sites there is their inner circle I totally understand that. The reason I even started messing with windowblinds is because of adni18 and vStyler. They are both great visual artist and wanted to learn more about how this builder was compiled and differed from the one I been using for so many years. I had other artist tell me how complicated when they were trying to learn it but wanted to see for myself. sagorpirbd, neiio, niivu and alperyesiltas are what i guess in my other community would be the master builders of vistastyle builder but they conduct themselves quite differently than what I have read and experienced since working on my first theme here. When I first started with that program I was also full of questions and that community were more than happy to help when I needed it. Here I see that is completely different except a couple that have help when I needed assistance. So I can see how discouraging any new builder would be to even start trying to build using this program. So far with this program I do like the freedom of your frames on the windows, but don't like how there is a code for almost every small little section unlike having one main code you can edit all at once. I have not started on my start menu yet so I don't know the freedom you have there but from what I have seen it seems about like the window frames which would also been good for me. I know I have at least three themes I am going to do with this program because I was limited on vistastyle builder to do them and the one I am working on was one of them. I do this as a hobby to relief the stress of 12 hour work days. So thank you again to the ones that saw it the same way i did.
