Soundpackager Needed to get Windowsblind Sounds?

Monday, August 26, 2019 by Digicoma | Discussion: WindowBlinds

Hello,

I've noticed over time that some wba's say they include sound schemes in them.  I'm not sure if this is still the case with the more modern ones, but nonetheless, I've never heard different sounds than the windows default sounds even after installing wba's with descriptions saying they have sounds.  Is it necessary to own and have Soundpackager installed in order to be able to hear these sounds?  If so, does this still work on Windows 10 as an operating system?

Thanks in advance,

Digicoma

Some WB's came with sounds for min/max and close. Skinners don't add them any more. If you want to test one out there is a skin called Beacon https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/windowblinds/2713/ . You don't need SoundPackager to hear it. And yes you can use it on 10.

And, for what it's worth, sound packager doesn't work on 10, I think.

Not the released version but the one we have in the oven will.  We have no timeline but one is coming.

Very cool!  Count me in as someone who'll be buying when it first comes out!

And thanks Redneck Dude.   I might have bought it if it weren't for your reply.  Of course Sean's made it all better.  It's nice to have something to look forward to!
