Internet Explorer's title bar

Monday, July 7, 2003 by DAGr | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

I'm trying to figure out how to change what appears in the title bar of internet explorer, but can't seem to get anywhere. You know where " - Microsoft Internet Explorer provided by so-and-so"... I want to change that. Thanks for any help!

Registry Settings
User Key: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main]
Value Name: Window Title
Data Type: REG_SZ (String Value)

Create a new string value, or modify the existing value, to equal the title you would like

Try this from Doug Knox. I have it and it works. You can give IE any name that you desire. Your anti-virus software might identify it as a malicious script, but it's not.

Thank you!

I'm impressed. It was extremely easily done. I'm going to have to add this to my frequently visited boards. Greatly appreciate it ladies and gentlemen!
