Can't open up any windowblinds in display: rundll exception with shell 32.dll, etc., etc.

Sunday, July 6, 2003 by country_place | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

I've been running WindowBlinds on a pc and 2 laptops for over a year. On one laptop with a problem I've deleted everything and reinstalled the enhanced version again plus skins, but I'm still getting the "rundll exception" when the selected windowblind tries to load. During the uninstall, I really cleaned up the files, registry, etc. but nothing makes a difference.
I'd appreciate some suggestions. country_place

I think you'll need to at least provide OS version/s and WB version as well....before real help can be forthcoming...

Thanks Jafo. The pc and notebooks are XP Home (no upgrades). Stardocks e-mail to me on June 14 gave me 3.5 enhanced to download, as well as JA02 skins. I went through the same thing on the desktop a while back because I had to replace the hard drive on an HP. In the past I've reinstalled WindowBlinds successfully because of minor problems. On this Toshiba notebook (current problem), I had to reinstall the OS after a problem that was covered under warranty. The current problem just surfaced after WindowBlinds worked for a while. The only thing I did recently (on all 3) was to change Norton Personal Firewall 2003 settings to turn Ad Blocking totally off, because it was interfering with PCMag sign in and Weatherbug scripts. country_place

It appears that you have the 3.5 time out.  Please read about 3.51 in the sticky thread above.

Use the lookup at: www.stardock.com/support to get a link to 3.51 emailed to you.
