Can someone help a newbie?

I love WB and am hooked on them but I have a small problem with about half of them...the START button is cut off, either top, bottom or sometimes thru the center. What's wrong?

Greetings fellow South Dakotan.

Have you tried uninstalling, deleting WB's directory, and reinstalling WB. If you have already, I cannot think of anything else to try.

Are you sure you aren't talking about Desktop X. Because most of the themes are higher resolution than a 15" monitor and will not work. I tried to download them and had the problem with the start button not working on a lot of Desktop X themes because of that. Just thought maybe you were trying Desktop X themes.

I have not done the uninstall thing because I didn't know what to do with all my downloaded blinds. A *!$%*-load. I don't have Desktop X themes, they're all WB and I'm running WB4. The operating system is Windows XP Home. Thanks for the help. It's hard to be so ignorant!

Could be your DPI setting...RightClick on the Desktop then Properties>Settings Tab>Advanced>General Tab...Make sure the normal setting of 96dpi is selected.

I've had similar issues for quite some time now...It was making me crazy and it was such a simple fix

You guys are so great but I have to tell you, I didn't change the font and I checked the DPI and it's set for the normal 96dpi. I guess I'm just Odd, but people who know me already knew that. I can deal with the broken START buttons(it's not even on all the blinds), I just wondered if there was something I could do.Everything else works great. Thanks.

One more thing you might check.............

Open the Congiuration dialog for WindowBlinds, select "User Overrides".....  In the Advanced Settings area make sure the drop down box has "Skin decides taskbar size" selected.

YES! I was just going to post that that was what the problem was. I was hunting around and found that and it looks SO much better now. Thanks to all who took time to help me.
