i have some questions?

Ok for the longest time i have been wanting to customize my desktop to what i find astetically pleasing...But i have lacked the time...and still have little time what with work and school and everything....anyway to my questions... i want to create my own desktop most of the stuff i think i could manage but what i really need some guidance on is i want to create a effect for like when you right click instead of the thing it create like a ripple fades in with the ripples but i dont have the slightest clue where to start with that.......and was just wondering if anyone could point me to a site or a already created or similar effect.....most of the other stuff i can patch together from other skins..for now... i would appreciate it

I would guess WindowsFX could do this as a menu transition, but one of the people whom happen to create those will have to answer...
Or maybe DeskTopX, with a script/applet, seems that The Basket Ball animation applet/script pretty much proves someone could do this.
just some thoughts that might present possibilities...
