Start button help?

I notice that there are a lot of programs available here. I'm currently running Windows XP, using the Silver theme that comes with the system. I want to change the color of the green start button, I think that it clashes horribly with the otherwise nice, simple theme. All I want to do is change the color of the start bar, nothing more and nothing less...all of the skins here are so much more. Can anybody recommend a program for just changing that one little thing?
(Oh, please don't recommend anything TGTSoft, like StyleBuilder...my free trial already ran out!)

Purchasing Windowblinds from Stardock.com will be a great improvement and will change more than just your start button.

I thought I made it quite clear that I do not want to change more than my start button.

Sorry but I dont think there is any real way to do that short of getting windowblinds and having somone make a skin that is exactly the same as silver..with a diff start button, seems a bit of a hassle to me...

There is no way to only change the start button that I am aware of. Your only option is to change your entire skin, as GreatSilverWyrm said.

I've seen a couple of programs that change only the Startbutton............ have no recollection of the names. (can we say Google search?) Eppie Desktop would do this I think, except it doesn't work with XP, I think.

Does a newer version of TClock change xp-buttons ? Or is it only able with the classic ones ?

I thought the only start button changing apps out there were for the classic start button only. I could be mistaken though, as I haven't really needed to hunt for such a thing.

You could be right about that Mike, I've never actually checked one out, ............ I don't even use the Startbutton, and such.
