RE: Help with Size of Icons

Friday, June 27, 2003 by Vtach | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

I just received a new monitor from Dell (replacement) 21" Trinitron and i forgot how to change the size of the words and icons, to make them bigger. I was told it should be set at 1600 x 1200 but everything is way to small, can someone let me know how to adjust it again. I can't believe i forgot, i hope it is not my age
35 yrs young only!
Thanks

right click anywhere on your desktop..........click properties........click the settings tab.............move the slider in screen resolution to whatever takes your fancy.......1280 X 1024 or 1024 X 768 although thats a mighty big monitor you have got there, BIG BOY

I run 1280 x 1024 on my 21" Dell Trinitron. Standard fonts are just right for me at that resolution.

Ok, now i really need help? My IE screen is to small to read. I changed the DPI size but it is not helping. I changed the icons size to 72 and they are great, so what do i do now so I can read online again???

Oh my gosh, my top bar where i x out of the screen is so tiny, i can hardly find the x. Maybe i should just stay at 800 x 600. Dell told me i should be at 1600 x 1200 but i don't think anyone could read at that size!!!!
thanks for the help

Try going to View>Toolbars>Customize then selecting Large Icons in the Icon Option drop down menu.

Instead of going from one extreme to another, why not try the resolutions in between? You might be perfectly happy with 1280, or 1024............
