Also, is it possible for me to download individual icons, instead of a whole set? If so, how?
Thanks guys!

I am not sure if NT ever allowed this or not, never tried it.
In DOS it would display as nothing more than;
.
..
DOS
<------ with a byte count and creation date and attributes..
It was one way we used to hide a clean set of system files to restore COMSPEC, NWClient, NIC Setup/Drivers and such, System and Admin utilities

(DIR)..
(DIR)DOS
(DIR)NWClient
(DIR) <--- blank dir name with a byte count contained in the dir and creation date, attributes..

While we're on the topic. I downloaded a bunch of files last week, consisting of images and HTML pages. One of the image is labeled .gif. No space, no coma, nothing before the dot. I tried to name a file that way, but Windows wouldn't let me. How did they do it? Is it possible? Or maybe the file was created on Linux and Linux lets you do that?
Anybody has an idea if it's possible in Windows?

MD name Alt+255
By holding down the Alt key while typing 255 (numeric pad only) you will create an character that looks like an empty space. That means, your filename must not be more than 7 characters since Alt+255 already took up one. The next time anybody types the DIR command, they can see the directory but to access it, you must type Alt+255 behind the filename. Without that, you will get an error message. With Windows Explorer, you can't even open the directory because you will get a "Folder does not exist" error. So much for security!

NT refuses to take the ALT codes so maybe they nixed it, though I haven't tried 4.0 or 2k, just XP.

Ah, you're right just space bar doesn't work. But Alt+0160 works fine on XP.
I thouhgt the spacebar worked cause I first named it Alt+0160, and it worked. Then I renamed it with a spacebar space, and it worked. Or so it seemed. But that's because it wasn't accepting it and therefore returning to the previous name (Alt+0160).
Oops. My error.
And by the way, I just found the answer to my question. I can rename a file just .gif (no space before the dot) just using the rename command. Cool.

IPlural I can confirm that you can leave a folder name blank on NT4.
