Howabout a version of the skin WITHOUT the damned nVidia logo for those of us who love the skin yet hate nVidia?

While I own an nVidia card, my wife bought it for me so I had no choice. What some of us take issue with is that nVidia drivers for the last couple years leave a lot to be desired. There are other issues but let's leave it at that.

Yes, an ATI skin would be excellent for those who own them and those who wished we owned them!

Either way, Renato is one of the best skinners in existance and I have yet to see a skin he did that I didn't gaze upon in awe. He has always been someone I have looked up to.

And PJ... if I were you I wouldn't worry about Mark hitting you, I'd worry more about him getting his love beads around your neck.

Speaking from experience Rich?

Back to the topic at hand (kinda)
I have a Geforce Ti4600 and a Radeon 8500 in separate PC's.

The Geforce beats the 8500 hands down for games on a 1Ghz Duron against a 1.4Ghz Athlon XP. The 8500 beats the Geforce in WindowsFX but has a tendency to cause a BSOD for unknown and inexplicable reasons every once in a while. The ATI multimon support is less troublesome too.

I let each do what it is best at and am relatively happy. If I didn't have two PC's I might have more animosity towards nVidia though.

And yes I like the nVidia skin and the nVidia logo doesn't bother me.

Doomgaze, just use SkinStudio to remove the logos for your own PC. I myself made an Object Dock background & 2 menu skins that use the nvidia color scheme. Unfortunately as Treetog told me, he could not give me permission to post it since Pixtudio does not own the rights to the skin, nVidia does. So I use the skins myself but cannot share them and no one can modify them or use their graphics and post it here or any where without nVidia's permission. Hope that helps.

Pixtudio does wonderful work. I understand why they can't do an ATI theme even if ATI were to offer to pay them for one since nVIDIA might be upset about it. There are other great skinners at this site so it would be nice if another skinner could contact ATI and get permission or even get paid to make an ATI skin. I would also like to see an AMD Athlon XP skin for my favorite processor.

BoXXi: I really like your walls. I downloaded a few last night. Great work!

If you visit http://www.nvidia.com you will see that NVIDIA is spelled with all capital letters.

Rudeness is harmful to the community. It is especially offensive to be rude to someone like Adam, without whom many of these skins would not exist. BoXXi, please note that a vocal minority is still a minority. Don't let the loonies win!

Threatening violence to someone on a message board...what can I say? "It is past the infinite of thought."

I will add that other skins that require the permission of corporations, such as the good folks at NVIDIA and the recent Terminator 3 skin done with the permission of Warner Bros., are in the works. Or so I have heard.

I don't want to throw oil on the fire, but if I didn't know treetog was part of Pixtudio then I might be pissed off too. SkinStudio's answer wasn't very gentle. I am not sure how I would have responded, though. I know both SkinStudio and doomgaze for years and consider this to be an accident. Doomgaze isn't always like that. In fact he is often very helpfull. Everyone can have an off day. Just my 2 eurocents.

sttroopers...your link was removed as it is an issue of copyright.

nVidia and Pixtudio would be the only appropriate people to distribute such.

You would require prior permission, which is very unlikely to be forthcoming....

sttroopers....'private use' for amended versions really means exactly that....private email is still a technical copyright violation...
