WindowBlinds Update

I Just Wonder

Sunday, February 10, 2019 by RedneckDude | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

I realize that this is probably already addressed in these forums, but the forums search function is funky at best.

So, Why does WindowBlinds keep updating to 10.74 FROM 10.74?

I just fired up my Win 7 machine and the first thing that popped up was WB update. I updated it just in case and turned off the Check for updates in the WB config. My Win 10 desktop and my Win 8 laptop never does this.

My Win10 machine has been offering me this update every few days since I first did the 10.74 update - this has been MONTHS now.

I have 8 PCs and I keep getting updated, over and over. Always end up with 10.74.

I don't know the answer to that but it is happening to me also.  On my main machine [Win 10] it has updated from 10.74 to 10.74 about 4 times now.  Yeah, it is getting a bit stale

I don't think a seatbelt would work, she has her own airbags.

Try to download the latest installer for Windowblinds from your account. https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products

and install that version. Reboot and see if it stop the upgrade notice.

I was informed, that, some how if you use the download button from that popup notice. It download a different version of 10.74. But if you use download direct from your account. It should get the latest one of 10.74.

If you have done that but still the popup notice appear. Report back here.

Thanks.

Hello,

About the WB update,

Support would like you to try this ,

go to your Downloads\Stardock

See if you have a WB folder / file and delete it.

See then if you still are prompted (may take some time (days))

to get prompted again and report back here , please

if that works .

I guess the powers that be didn't appreciate the pics.  Probably a "support" thread thing.
