WB fails to load gfx

I've been using wb 3.5 but suddenly it stops to load the skin graphics..
Only the skin's color scheme is applied.
It happend after a normal restart of windows..
It still refuses to work even if i un-install and remove all traces of wb and re-install it.
Using Windows 2000-SP3, anyone have a idea why this is happening ??

Odd, some kind of 'self-deactivation' if a newer version is availble ?

It relates to a time-out code on a beta release that was left in by accident. Long (very, very long) discussion on the newsgroups server if you're feeling particularly masochistic.
