What res should ObjectDock icons be designed at?

Saturday, June 7, 2003 by uberzev | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

From my understanding the maximum res ObjectDock zooms to is 192 px. However I see many icons here designed at 256 px. Can someone explain this to me?

I am not an objectdock user, but I think it is for the people who run higher resolution, or want more quality...

uberzev........... a 128x128 image, enlarged to 192x192, will not look as good as a 256x256 image, reduced to 192x192. Now, you may say, "why not upload a 192x192?"..... one  reason may be that the image is used with another program, that uses 256x256, and rather than create a new version, the author uploads the larger image. ......... I hope that explaination isn't even more confusing, but I tried..
