Small Objectdock question

Friday, June 6, 2003 by Symetrix | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

Hello,

I am new to this communuity so sorry if I have done something wrong.

I accidently deleted my 'My Computer' entry in objectdock, and I need to create it again. As I remember, the shortcut was a stream of numbers and it looked pretty random.

Could anyone tell me what I need in order to create it again?

Thankyou

I'm having the same problem...except the My Computer link didn't work upon installing....anybody know how to correct this? I have seen the suggestions for linking folders (explorer.exe and then destination blah blah). Will that work for the my computer link???

Create a new item on ObjectDock. Right-click it to get at teh properties.

Then, for the Link value, use:
explorer.exe

For the Arguments value, use:
::{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}

If you want to have an item correspond to the Control panel, use explorer.exe for the Link value, but for the Srguments value, use:
file:///::{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}\::{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}
