irc.stardock.com
port 6667
#WinCusomize
#Stardock
You can create a channel for your own if you like. Can be handy when working with several people on the same project and when the main channels are too crowded.
You can access the server with the WinCustomize browser, SDCentral or any other IRC client.

Nevertheless, the idea isn't so bad at all. It would be cool indeed, although it would require programming time we don't have at the moment. Still a lot on the "to do" list.
In the meantime, COOOOLLL, if you use Trillian, you can set up an IRC channel in it, and use the channel just like a messenger software.

However, after further consideration, I believe that WC has skinners covered between IRC and the messageboard (incl the suggestion for the "new" board). If a skinner would like feedback on a particular idea of his/hers, then chatting privately on IRC, providing his/her AIM, Y!, MSN or ICQ SN, or even posting to the messageboard or channel would be an option.
For those who do not wish to use IRC, again the messageboard is a venue (available to everyone with a web browser) to initiate a thread wherein feedback can be requested.
Moreover, if one would wish to start an AIM chatroom or the like he/she could do so. I think paxx has got it when he says that programming would have to be done and I would imagine there really isn't development time available for such a venture.

also, with "instant message" methods, unless all the people are awake and at their computers at the same time you have problems. for people in different time zones message boards and email seem to work far better.
