How to change color of text ?

Thursday, June 5, 2003 by Dianekk | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

I love Texas Tea WB but the program I use for work would be easier for me if the text was typed in a lighter color, say white, cream, etc. When I go to display and try to change the text color it flips back to the black type. What do I need to do to get it to change? Is there something I need to uncheck or check in User settings or overwrites? I have Windows XP. This is also the same problem I have if I want to change any features of a WB skin (like changing a white background to black, etc. I used to be able to do this with WB 3 but cannot with WB4.

Do you have Skin Studio?
Ifyou do, on the left side there is a "tree" (like in widnows explorer's folder view). Go to miscellaneous - colors-

then, on the right side, Click on "Window" then change the "Text Normal" setting to what you need. Then save it and re-apply the skin.

Thanks, I'll try that. Then how would I change the background from say a white background to a colored background? I assume that also will not work by just going to display and changing it.

It's in the same section as the text color. My suggestion would be to play around in the colors section and just keep re-applying the skin till you have everything just the way you want it. then, everytime you use that skin, it will already be saved just the way you want it *s*
