Can I make ObjectDock pull up the start menu?

Saturday, May 31, 2003 by Blitz2003 | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

Is it possible to make ObjectDock pull up the start menu when you click a button? And is it possible to make a button bring up a list of programs? Thanks.

From the FAQ...............
How can I link To the Startmenu with ObjectDock?

Copy and paste the following in a text editor.

set wShell=wscript.createobject('wscript.shell')
wShell.sendkeys '^{ESC}'

Save with .vbs extension. Pay attention to where you save it. Now link to the file in the Dock Item Properties.

I had problems with this script until I changed the single quotes ' around wscript.shell and ^{ESC} to double quotes "

I recommend using AndreasV's start menu docklet. It is a flawless example of the power of ObjectDock.

WrecklessEric:
I am currently working on an application called AveDesk, screenie:

It can use Object Dock Docklets too as its "icons". So you can have docklets on your desk.

If you want to get the latest build, just drop me a line
