My question is this: I use Snag it to take screnshots but I haven't figured out how to get my start menu to stay open to include in the shot. Any help?

the only way I have been able to get the start menu in a screen shot is to open it, hit print screen (above the delete key) and paste it into an image editor.

Hi, Bushman. How are you using print screen? I've never heard about it not "working" By the way, I like your latest Screen Shot.

For some computers setup, you need to hit alt + printscreen, then paste it in an image editor.

Alt+Printscreen only captures the Active Window. Just hitting Printscreen will capture the entire screen.

Sometimes you need to push Shift+PrintScreen to capture the entire screen.

Thanks for the replies. My printscreen does not work with any combos. I have a Logitech Internet Nav with Itouch. I have all the lastest drivers. Bummer.

Bushman, you can set up Snagit to take a snapshot trigered by any key combination you want. You can even configure a delay. There is virtually nothing you can't do with Snagit.

So what if you set a delay of like ten seconds then hit your "Start" button before the ten seconds are up so it is up when the capture time is hit?

Exactly, Cerebro.

Just a thought....the 'Printscreen' button captures and 'saves' to the clipboard....you DO actually then have to manually open an image proggy and 'paste' and ultimately 'save'....

Just a thought....do you actually have the 'clipboard' function active/installed in your Win OS?....

Thanks every one for your ideas. I'll check into the delay in Snagit and Find out if my clipboard is installed/active.
