We know your ISP and we know in what city you live. And that's just though a quick tracing on your IP address. Not only can we ban your IP address, but we can even give a call to your ISP and have your account suspended there. So don't get too cocky. I suggest you find another website and go troll somewhere else.

Though technically different from flaming, which is an unmistakable direct personal attack, trolls often resort to innuendo or misdirection in the pursuit of their objective, which is to create controversy for its own sake, discredit those with whom they disagree, or sabotage discussion by creating an intimidating atmosphere.
Note that this is a highly subjective term, as everyone is affected differently by the nature of the term deemed a "troll".
Originally this term applied to people who were intentionally posting flamebait, by analogy with the fishing technique of trolling: metaphorically, these people were dragging a conversational lure through the group, hoping for a response. The concept of "this person is trolling our newsgroup" became shortened to "this person is a troll", and picked up the association of the monster trolls of folklore. "

In other words, a person with a serious inferiority complex who thinks that by creating controversy he or she can add some excitment to their boring and dull way of life.

When confronted about their behaviour, their common argument is that it's all just a bit of fun and just words on a computer screen. This is a common misconception amongst the computer illiterate, that the Internet is some sort of protective wall which allows them to say whatever they want without fear of punishment. It's not until the authorities kick down their door and arrest them for harassment that they start to understand how far these things can go.
They also tend to be of low intelligence and with little in the way of literacy, having a particularly low attention span. So if you've read this far, you're probably not a troll.
