he he he.... you missed part of the subject line.... "no talent"... absolutely no graphics talent at all 
i'd like to try my hand at skinning, and have been looking into the various skinning tools. can't make up my mind which would be best/easiest to use. comes with being a noob, i guess
i'll keep on checking out what is on the site and what they were done with. that'll help me make a choice.

I started out on the Notepad/Paint route too. I never released anything I did back then though.

I use spray paint and stencils, when I want to change it around I use a razor blade...works for me
