I need some help with a Media Player WMZ file association

Saturday, May 17, 2003 by CerebroJD | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

Just after I started skinning I got a compression utility called ZipZag. It set itself to automaticly open .wmz files with itself. Now that I have uninstalled it, my computer wont let me install Media Player skins correctly. I have to copy the .wmz file into the SKINS folder in the Media Player folder. Now I would like to set the file asscociation back to what it was originally but the problem is, when I go back into the "File Types" menu in "Folder Options" and change the WMZ to Meida Player, whenever I try to install a skin I get an error about a non recognizable file format. I need to know how to fix this problem and I was wondering if anyone had had this experience before. Thanx in advance to all who have suggestions.

Make sure that your WMS and WMZ assignments are the same...should be -Default=&Open Program="C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmplayer.exe" /layout:"%L". Hope that helps....
