Since i installed the beautifull skin "illusion", i have a problem with my other skins: the title bars, the quicklaunch bar and the start menu are all striped with a black band . The problem persisted even when i deleted the "illusion" skin . Any help ?

Windowblinds 4; i tried rebooting , unstalling and reinstalling, but did'nt work. Thanks anyway

Just uninstalling won't do it. It sounds like you probably didn't uninstall your previous version of windowblinds before installing WB4. So, you may have conflicts between different dll files. If you really want to try to fix it, I would uninstall WB4 and erase the program directory. Then, try to install it. But, this is the first time I have heard of this sort of problem. It sounds more like a video driver probelm. But, if it started just when you installed the illusion skin, here's what you may want to try first. Change the .wba on the illusion skin to .zip. Then open it with winzip and look for .dll files or wb configuration files. It would be strange if you found any, but this is the only way that the skin could have changed your settings. And, this happens to me sometimes when I change skins but only with fonts. But, not always. Sometimes the change doesn't go well. So, I change back to the previous skin or I change to the default skin(Classic), before changing to another windowblinds skin. Many things to try. Good Luck.

You may have strange results as I did. My start menu would just lock in the up position. I figured something was wrong with windowblinds since it made custom modifications to my start menu. So, I uninstalled WB4 and I looked in the folder, and all the program files were still there!!! So, a uninstall won't do it for one reason mainly that I've found. If you install windowblinds 3.5 directly and then WB4 from CM, they are installed in different folders. So, uninstalling from CM won't take care of WB 3.5, and it may ruin the 3.5 install anyway when it erases the files in system32 for windowblinds. For example, My WB3.5 installed to C:\Program Files\Object Desktop\ (by default) But WB4 installed to C:\Program Files\Object Desktop\Windowblinds\ (by default) So, I uninstalled everything in component manager, uninstalled component manager, uninstalled everything for Object Desktop in add/remove programs, and then I deleted everything in Object Desktop, including the folder itself as there were still many configuration files left in the Object Desktop folder. Then I reinstalled CM, and redownloaded everything and zipped it for later.
Then, I reinstalled everything cleanly from CM. And, my Start Menu has not locked up all day. Harsh solution, but effective.
