Classic windows theme on XP and WindowBlinds?

Saturday, May 10, 2003 by DaFuzz | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

I can't stand XP's new style Start menu and window frames and much prefer the old classic style. Is it possible to create a WindowBlinds theme that uses the classic style i know you can keep the old style start menu but i'm not sure about the window frames....can't stand those bulging bars filling up half the screen .

(Sorry if this makes no sense not paying attention )

Mercury made one a couple years ago that mimicked windows (I think 2000, don't remember). It would work, but it wouldn't have shell support or the start menu/taskbar. Which, if you want just the windows classic look, should be fine. Just go to the windowblinds section and do a search for "mercury" to bring up a list of his skins. You'll know the skin I'm talking about when you see it.

you do not need WindowBlinds to have the classic look in XP. just set your theme to classic in the display properties dialog
