This is kind of a second home for me and at some point I won't be here.
I've been diagnosed with a malignant esophageal tumor. We're waiting on the biopsy report to proceed but from what I read this is a pretty aggressive cancer with low to medium life expectancy. I'm pretty zen about the whole thing and at least will have an opportunity to put my life in order.
Other than a difficulty in swallowing, weight loss (which is a sort of a blessing) and some regurgitation issues, I feel pretty good, at the moment.
Anyhow, bummer and "oh shit".

Best thoughts go out to you. My dad had that, many years ago, and lived 4-5 years after surgery...not sure what the plan is with you and your Doctor, but no matter what, still wish you luck in the fight and hod good thoughts for you.

I have a slew of appointments on the 30th and hope to have more data, will update when we know more.
